The Making of Prosperion Planning

As advisors, we believe in helping people make the right choices at the right times. In finance that usually translates to helping those 55 and over with retirement planning, investment advice, and other money needs. We help to ensure their road to financial success doesn’t end before they need it to.

But we noticed a problem.

Financial advice isn’t only for the wealthy or for those about to retire. In fact, financial advice can often have a bigger impact on those who aren’t rich and old. There are two basic elements involved in the magic known as compounding interest: investment amount and time. You may not have thousands of dollars to invest, but you have time. Way more time than those about to start retirement. As a result, the sooner you start saving and making smart choices, the more likely you are to actually acquire wealth.

But financial advisors don’t serve this demographic. Typically they’re interested in people who have wealth, not people who want to build wealth. So financially savvy 30 and 40-year-olds are forced to either:

  1. Figure it out themselves, or
  2. Hire a “robo-advisor” which for a nominal fee will shoehorn your finances into one of a dozen investment models they have and sometimes provide basic generic advice.

Finance is complicated. Really complicated. But the right choices at the right time can make all the difference. These choices are too important to be left to a cookie-cutter robot or a Google search for “things I should be doing with my money.” So we set out to make a third option, and we called it Prosperion Planning.

We built Prosperion Planning as an alternative to traditional financial advice. Our mission is to put more people on the road to financial success during a time in their lives when small choices can add up to big consequences. Our goal was to make it accessible, affordable, and valuable. We want to understand your needs better than anyone else, and we want to provide advice specifically for you, in person, face-to-face.

We believe plans are important, but partnerships are essential. We want to be there when you need us, whether you’re buying a house, having a child, building a business or any one of those complicated life decisions. Because a plan is great, right up until your life takes a different turn.

Designing your future doesn’t start at 55.  It begins when you’re ready to take control. And with the right help, you can start today.
